I forgot my password, what should I do?

1. Make sure that you have Caps Lock off as that may affect it.
2. Make sure that you are signing in with a correct username.
3. Try some passwords that you normally use.

I still fail to sign on, what do I do now?

1. On the sign-in dialog, click "Forgot your password?"

2. Type in your email address and click "Send Password".

What is the offer?

For a $19.95/month fee, Google ads will be removed from participating Wetpaint wikis.

How does it work?

Wetpaint will collect monthly payments via PayPal one week before the first of each month.

How do I sign up?

If you would like to take part in this test, email michael @ wetpaint dot com— participation is limited, so don't delay! In your email, be sure to include:

The URL of the Wetpaint site from which you would like to remove the ads
Your Wetpaint account user ID

If you are selected to participate, Wetpaint will contact you via email with more information on how to get started.

The not-so-fine print:

This is only a test, so we can't promise that the availability of the ad-free option will extend beyond the three-month test period.
To participate in the test, you must be a moderator or above. If you are not a moderator or above for the site you wish to enter into the test, please message the moderator, creator, or administrator and see if they would consider participating.
You may leave the test at any time and have the ads reinstated on your site; however, we cannot refund any paid monthly subscription fees. If you wish to leave the test, email michael @ wetpaint dot com.
Wetpaint cross-site merchandising ads will remain on your site throughout the test.

How do I add a slideshow from my site's photo gallery?

Click on the 'EasyEdit' button...

to bring up the EasyEdit toolbar...
Click on the 'Photo' button on the EasyEdit toolbar
The 'Add Photo' dialog will appear...
Click on the 'Add Slideshow' option in the upper right corner of the dialog box
Select which album you want to make into a slideshow, choose the transition style, and click the 'Add Slideshow' button

Greetings, all you crafty and creative Wetpainters!

Below are rules and guidelines for entering the Wetpaint T-Shirt Design Contest, in which you -- yes, you! -- could win $200 and the glory of having your design plastered to the bodies of countless warm-blooded fellow Wetpaint users!

Make sure you carefully read the guidelines and rules so your entry is official! Good luck, and we're itching to see all your fantastic Wetpaint-inspired creations!

How It Works

How to Enter

You create a Wetpaint T-shirt design (see guidelines and idea starters below).
Join this site and upload your design as an image (allowable formats: .jpg, .png., or .gif) to this photo album (click "add photos to album") on or before August 15, 2008.
A panel of Wetpaint employees and Wetpaint superpainters will judge the pool of design entries.
The top three designs from this initial judging round will then be presented to the larger Wetpaint community for a popular vote.
The winning design will be produced as the official 2008 Wetpaint T-shirt.

Everlasting bragging rights for creating the first-ever community-designed Wetpaint T-shirt -- that right there might be enough to retire on...

Design Guidelines

We're looking for a unique design that captures the fun essence of Wetpaint, one that Wetpaint users, fans, and employees would wear with pride!

The maximum design area is 10" x 10" (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm).
Your design will be printed on the front of the T-shirt only.
You are welcome to incorporate the Wetpaint logo in your design, but using the logo isn't required -- we'll be featuring it on the back of the shirt.
Your design should contain a maximum of four (4) colors (plus the shirt color).

Submission & Judging

Submission

You can submit more than one design, but only one of your submitted designs will be eligible to be one of the top three chosen designs
To submit your design(s), simply join this site [LINK] and upload an image of your design(s) to this photo album (allowable formats: .jpg, .png., .gif). Be sure that you register using a viable email address where you can be reached -- if your design is chosen, you will receive notification via the private messaging service on the site.
Eligible designs must be submitted to the site on or before August 15, 2008 11:59 PM PST.

Judging

A team of Wetpaint employees and superpainters (those are community members who really love Wetpaint) will judge the designs. Designs will be judged based on the following qualities:

Creativity
Originality
Effectiveness of conveying the essence of the Wetpaint brand
Legality (don't use any copyright-protected or "borrowed" imagery)

The top three designs selected by the judging panel will then be shared with the larger Wetpaint community for a final vote.
If your design is chosen, you must be able to hand off the design in a print-ready format, created using a scalable vector graphics (SVG) program like Adobe Illustrator. The image should be at least 200dpi in CMYK mode.

Terms & Conditions

You will retain all copyright of your work.
Your design entry/entries must meet all of the following requirements or it/they will be disqualified:

Your design entry/entries must be original, unpublished, your sole property, and not previously submitted in any other contest.
Your design entry/entries must relate to Wetpaint.
Your design entry/entries must be submitted in .jpg, .png, or .gif format under 1MB in size.
Your entry/entries must not violate third-party rights including, copyrights, trademarks and any other intellectual property rights. Do not include any third-party trademarks, company names, or logos other than those of Wetpaint.
Entries must not depict obscenity; disparage any product or person; or contain other offensive or inappropriate content or material.

We reserve the right to prescreen, monitor, and remove design entries, at our discretion.
By submitting your entry/entries you are allowing Wetpaint to print your design on Wetpaint T-shirts for an indefinite period of time.
By submitting your entry/entries you understand that Wetpaint may use your design in promotional materials/photography from time to time.
Each entrant may submit as many designs as they like, but only one design per entrant is eligible to be considered in the final three designs.
If your design is selected, we will attribute you credit for your design if you provide us with the name you would like to appear in association with the design.
Wetpaint reserves the right to make design adjustments to the winning design.
The winning entrant will receive one (1) $200 Amazon.com gift card via email. This prize is non-refundable/non-transferable.
Amazon.com Gift Cards/Certificates may not be redeemed for the purchase of products through in-store pickup or at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.co.jp, Amazon.ca, or any other website operated by Amazon.com, its affiliates, or any other person or entity. Clear your browser cache and cookies

Trouble getting signed in?

Signing into a Wetpaint site requires two pieces of information - your username and your password. If you enter either one (or both!) of these items incorrectly you will see the following message in red letters:

What to do:

Check to make sure you are entering the correct username. Look at the "Members" list on your site or check the confirmation email we sent you when you created your site (you kept that, right?). If you are unable to find your username (or it's a private site) follow the instructions below to reset your password.

The password reset process allows you to get signed in without asking you for your username. You will be signed in and your username will appear on the page once you reset your password

Note: You can enter the same existing password when it asks for a new one if you don't really want to change it.
If your username is correct then the only other option is that your password is wrong. You can reset your password by clicking on the "Forgot your password?" link on the sign in dialog window. It will prompt you for the e-mail address you used to register your account and send you a link to change your password.

FAQ

Q. Every time I sign in I have to reset my password. What's going on?

A. You are most likely entering the wrong username. Make sure you're entering the correct username as shown in #1 above.

Q. I'm trying to reset my password but I never receive the email. What should I do?

A. First, make sure you are entering the email address that you originally used when you registered your account. Also, try adding "password_recovery@wetpaint.com" to your safe list so that it does not get filtered out as a spam message.
